Anna by Alberto Grifi and Massimo Sarchielli - Expanded Cinema
Curated by Annamaria Licciardello and Jacopo Chessa
Anna, the film created by Alberto Grifi and Massimo Sarchielli in 1975, is already part of Italian Film History. The CSC-Cineteca Nazionale in collaboration with the Alberto Grifi Cultural Association were responsible for the digital conversion of the original filming (about 11 hours), the recovery and conversion carried out by the La Camera Ottica, a conversion laboratory of the DAMS in Gorizia, the Università degli Studi in Udine, and it is proposed for the first night showing at the Torino Film Festival in the Galleria Alberto Peola and the Cinema Reposi.
The faces, voices and bodies of Anna will be shown in a guise that nobody in these thirty eight years have ever seen. These reels, not organized in chronological order, fragmented, stratified, will show the public the novelty and diversity of the medium as they have been experienced by the authors. The material will be projected in two parts. The programme will be presented as follows:
